Victorian Fence Border Ideas

This past weekend at my crop I was putting together some display borders. I really like the ones I did with the Victorian Fence punch!!

Update: The Victorian Fence punch has sold out from the CM website and is not returning! If you still need one of these awesome punches, I have a few left in my inventory for pickup. Contact me if you’re interested.

This stand-alone border punch makes an adorable row of Victorian style fence posts from your paper. There are already lots of ideas using this punch out there (mostly fall and winter/Christmas), but I decided to make some of my own to have on hand! Both of these are entirely tool-based and could be made with any paper you have.

Summer Fence Accent cMy first border is summery flowers with a brown fence on a cloud blue base. I used the Jumbo Jets Border Maker Cartridge to punch out flower stems from evergreen cardstock and the Dancing Daisies Cartridge to make a row of cranberry flowers. I also punched daisy shapes with the Daisy Bouquet punch (NLA, sorry!) – large flowers in goldenrod and smaller ones in white.

Once I had all the pieces punched, I used a brown pen to add some details and attached everything with Tape Runner. Finally, I gave the flowers centers with some paper scraps in black and orange and some black gems.

Fall Fence Accent cMy second border is a fall nighttime scene with a white fence on a black base. I edged the top of the black piece with the Midnight Stars Border Maker Cartridge and backed it with goldenrod cardstock. I added a pumpkin patch and vines with orange paper punched from the Pumpkins Cartridge and evergreen paper punched from the Sprout Cartridge (NLA, sorry!). I trimmed both of these down for the sizes I wanted to use with my fabulous Creative Memories All-purpose Scissors.

Again with all the pieces punched, I used a brown pen to add some details and attached everything with Tape Runner.
