January is a busy month for me, and this year I’ve made a goal to keep an updated, current annual family album. It’s just me and hubby, so we don’t have a lot of “family” photos . . . ok, I’ll be honest, it mostly just about me. 🙂 I’ll be honest and say it was a little bit of a struggle to remember to take pictures of the normal day-to-day things happening this month and remember to print them!
I’m using the Creative Memories My Memories Gift Box Bundle as the basis for my album this year. It’s perfect for monthly layouts, and I love the fun patterns and earthy colors. I’ll be creating a 2-page layout each month in this album this year.
BTW, if you’re in Northern Utah and you want to crop along with me and my group this year, check out our Monthly Cropper’s Club. I’d love to have you join us! Continue reading
Thanks for joining our Fall Blog Hop! It’s my favorite time of year, with all the leaves, crisp air, and sweaters – And this year to go along with all of that I’m loving the rich fall colors and the combinations of classic, rustic patterns in Creative Memories’ Countryside Comfort line!
I’m sharing some Countryside Comfort layouts that I started last week during the Creative Memories Virtual Crop on Facebook. If you haven’t done a virtual crop yet, I highly recommend it! Creative Memories hosts several each year, and the Creative Life Scrapbooking group has hosted a couple more so far. Continue reading

Summer is a great time to make some memories, enjoy the outdoors, and take on new crafty projects! Hopefully you’ll find some inspiration in our blog hop to do all of those things this year. 🙂

Even though I don’t usually scrapbook Valentine’s Day stuff (honestly, I’m not a big fan of the holiday…it comes from many years of singlehood…but that’s a story for another time), I do really enjoy the colors that come along with the day!
Since I knew I wouldn’t be making a layout, I had to find another fun way to use some of my new crafty stuff. I noodled on a few ideas, but nothing seemed quite awesome enough.
One day, while drinking my Diet Coke with lunch, it struck me that these little 12oz bottles would be adorable repurposed and decorated as Valentine gifts for the kids my husband and I teach each week at church. INSPIRATION!
Thanks for joining the journey on our Christmas Blog Hop this year!!! You should have arrived here from Diana’s blog, and the next stop on this hop is linked at the bottom of this post.
Do you ever buy some great paper and embellishments with one project in mind, start working on it, and then find that it morphs into something very different? That happened to me when I opened the Christmas Past Variety Mat Pack. I wanted to make a bunch of quick, traditional cards to send for Christmas this year, but as I got going I just couldn’t find a groove!
Instead, I started playing with cardboard “scraps” and eventually made my way to these cute (but not quick) cards instead:
I’ve always enjoyed the idea of the shaped word albums I’ve seen at craft stores, but I’ve never found a reason to make one of them. (If I go to the effort of putting together an album, I want the best–Creative Memories albums, of course!) I decided it would be fun to make mail-able Christmas cards in the style of those word albums this year.
Thanks for hopping with us! I’m pretty happy with the pages I made this time, and I hope you like them too. Read to the end to find your next blog hop stop . . .
For some Fathers Day scrapbooking this year, I decided to combine the efficient “questions” journaling approach with pockets and turn these into hidden journaling pages.
How are you enjoying the 2016 Creative Memories Easter Blog Hop so far? Feeling INSPIRED?!? 🙂 I’m LOVING the ideas that everyone is sharing! You should have arrived from D. Brinsley’s Memory Keeping Blog if you’re following this hop in order.
