Happy Blog Hop Day, friends!!!
I always love seeing the projects my fellow Creative Life Scrapbookers post on these magical days when we blog hop, so I hope you’re following along and have come from Candace’s page. How do you like this season’s ideas so far? Feeling inspired?? Continue reading
This week I was playing with the new Creative Memories Flower Child Border Punch and comparing it to the Doily Border Punch that came out in the fall. Continue reading
This week I wanted to show you what I’m doing with borders and more in my Happy Album, along with a couple of helpful tips for using the border maker system!
After I made the pages from Happy Album Kits #1 and #2 (with slight modification to give me maximum leftovers, of course), I was able to make 3 extra 2-page spreads from the extra pieces:
- Half-and-half “wallpapered” spread with a “Family” border crossing both pages
- “Me & You” spread with two different types of borders
- Hearts and dots spread
It’s another delightful #BorderMakerMonday, and I have some tips for the Double Chevron cartridge for you today!
I love this cartridge with the CM Border Maker System – it’s one that punches along the edge of your page (as opposed to those cartridges that punch a chain or strip away from the page), and I wanted to show a bunch of the designs you can make with it. I’d love to see you run with it in some of your own borders! Continue reading
This past weekend at my crop I was putting together some display borders. I really like the ones I did with the Victorian Fence punch!!
It’s turned into some serious winter at my house over the weekend, but I’m brightening my day with thoughts of spring flowers . . . so here are two ways to make a flower-full border with the Creative Memories 2017 Christmas collection, Sugarplum!
Thanks for joining our Fall Blog Hop! It’s my favorite time of year, with all the leaves, crisp air, and sweaters – And this year to go along with all of that I’m loving the rich fall colors and the combinations of classic, rustic patterns in Creative Memories’ Countryside Comfort line!
I’m sharing some Countryside Comfort layouts that I started last week during the Creative Memories Virtual Crop on Facebook. If you haven’t done a virtual crop yet, I highly recommend it! Creative Memories hosts several each year, and the Creative Life Scrapbooking group has hosted a couple more so far. Continue reading
Have you seen the Creative Life Scrapbooking Border Maker Mondays ideas? If not, you should definitely go check them out on the Facebook page! Each week one of the contributors shares ideas for scrappy borders, layouts, cards, or other projects that feature the Creative Memories Border Maker System and other Border Punches.
This week, my contribution to the collection is these two adorable underwater borders that both use similar elements but definitely have a different feel to them!
I’ve been having a PACKED holiday season already, and there’s still more fun to come. I hope you’re also having a great season!
In honor of the return of CM’s CCS Circles and Ovals, I’m showing you how to make some cute paper rosettes that can be turned into ornaments or used as embellishments on cards and album pages. Continue reading
Original Creative Memories Short Cuts Pack
If you’ve been a long-time devotee of Creative Memories, you might remember these oldies . . .
The dimensions for the pieces of the original 10×12 Short Cuts packs (for each cardstock color in the pack) are:
- 2 pieces 12×1.5
- 2 pieces 12x.375
- 1 piece 4×3.75
- 2 triangles from a 4×4 square
- 1 piece 6.25×4.25
- 3 pieces .75x.75
- 2 pieces 1.125×7
Back in the day, Creative Memories used to have these pre-cut Short Cuts packs, and they were used to quickly create simple borders. Although a few former consultants and long-time customers might still have a few of these on their shelves, they aren’t available through CM anymore.
In case anybody is getting nostalgic for this type of design, I put together a few suggestions for “shortcutting” 12X12 paper and using the pieces for quick borders, corners, photo mats, and (surprise) cards. Continue reading
