February Blog Hop: Upcycled Hybrid Valentines

Hi everyone, and thanks for joining the Creative Life Scrapbookers’ blog hop this month! To find out more about what we’re doing and what’s coming up, you should like our Facebook page. 🙂

If you’re hopping through all our blogs, you probably arrived here from D. Brinsley’s Memory Keeping Blog. Read through to the bottom of this post to find your next stop!

Even though I don’t usually scrapbook Valentine’s Day stuff (honestly, I’m not a big fan of the holiday…it comes from many years of singlehood…but that’s a story for another time), I do really enjoy the colors that come along with the day! p1030246

Watercolor Love CD Album

Valentine’s Day usually isn’t a big deal at our house, but I do like to make heart-shaped cookies and write at least a few little love notes to my husband each year. I included a little sneak peek with my project for CM’s second Virtual Crop . . .

This is pretty much what my hubby will be getting from me this year, along with my undying devotion, of course!

Now, let me show you what this cute little book looks like inside:

Treat Basket for Your Valentine

This past Saturday was CM’s second Virtual Crop on Facebook, and we had over 1,000 people “attend” from locations all over the world!

The theme “Love Is in the Air” was the perfect way to showcase the new, limited edition Watercolor Love items (paper and embellishments), and we had one new challenge each hour — it’s a really fun way to try out new techniques and projects and also see what everybody else is doing with those challenges! I hosted the last challenge, and it was kinda “out of the box” (or “out of the album,”  if you will): make a Treat Basket!
