I hope you saw my previous blog post, where I introduced “Quick 6” cards back in September. If not, you can check it out and compare how the same technique produces some very different looks when applied to different paper and embellishments!
This time I made 6 quick cards with the new Black & White papers, coordinating flower and gem embellishments, and a few words from the Imagine laser cut weird pack. Again, you can use any double-sided papers for a project like this, and I’d love to see how yours turn out with other combinations!
Ready to get creative?!? Here’s a sketch I designed for our Creative Life Scrapbooking group, and I’m excited to see what everyone does with it!
You can download PDF instructions for the Creative Life Scrapbooking February 2018 Sketch by Stefani Jones or just glance at the picture here to get some inspiration.
THEN, after you’ve created some pages based on this sketch, come post your pages on the Creative Life Scrapbooking Facebook page and tag your posts with #CLSFeb2018Sketch. Happy Scrapping!!!
I hope you’re enjoying our Winter Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Julie’s blog, but if you’re hopping out of order you can see all the links at the bottom of this post
January is a busy month for me, and this year I’ve made a goal to keep an updated, current annual family album. It’s just me and hubby, so we don’t have a lot of “family” photos . . . ok, I’ll be honest, it mostly just about me. 🙂 I’ll be honest and say it was a little bit of a struggle to remember to take pictures of the normal day-to-day things happening this month and remember to print them!
I’m using the Creative Memories My Memories Gift Box Bundle as the basis for my album this year. It’s perfect for monthly layouts, and I love the fun patterns and earthy colors. I’ll be creating a 2-page layout each month in this album this year.
BTW, if you’re in Northern Utah and you want to crop along with me and my group this year, check out our Monthly Cropper’s Club. I’d love to have you join us! Continue reading
Thanks for joining our Fall Blog Hop! It’s my favorite time of year, with all the leaves, crisp air, and sweaters – And this year to go along with all of that I’m loving the rich fall colors and the combinations of classic, rustic patterns in Creative Memories’ Countryside Comfort line!
I’m sharing some Countryside Comfort layouts that I started last week during the Creative Memories Virtual Crop on Facebook. If you haven’t done a virtual crop yet, I highly recommend it! Creative Memories hosts several each year, and the Creative Life Scrapbooking group has hosted a couple more so far. Continue reading
I wanted to share my cutting guides and some examples of a “Quick 6” set of cards that can be made with 2 sheets of decorative paper and a few embellishment. 🙂
This time I made mine with Countryside Comfort papers, but you can use any double-sided papers for a project like this! Continue reading
This month, the Creative Life Scrapbooking team decided to take Creative Scrapbooker magazine’s Sketchy Challenge and make layouts based on this circle layout sketch, but with a twist: stash busting only! All of us have lots of older scrapbooking supplies, and sometimes we need some motivation to use that instead of the brand-newest stuff. 🙂
TBH, when I first saw this sketch I was like, “What am I going to do with this?!?” It was way outside my normal scrappy comfort zone! I tried one layout that I totally hated (maybe I’ll post that as a blooper sometime), and I almost gave up.
But then I was struck with inspiration one day as I gathered a bunch of wedding announcements off my fridge and realized that the three photos from those announcements would be perfect for this layout! Once I had that thought, I LOVED the process of creating this page! (And while I was journaling on the page, I even got teary-eyed because the people on this page are so special to me, so clearly this was an important story for me.)
You are very, extremely, and cordially invited to attend my Croptoberfest 2017 events!
Um, wait . . . events?!?
YES! This year I’m doing Croptoberfest different. Instead of a single, long day of scrapbooking this year I’m hosting 4 separate days of scrapbooking, reconnecting with cropping friends, sharing ideas, getting gifts and prizes, etc. Each day is broken into two sessions, and everyone is invited to join for as few or as many of the Croptoberfest sessions as they’d like. Each session will have different gifts, ideas, challenges, and prizes. All sessions will be held at my home in Bountiful, Utah, and each session has just 6 seats.
Additionally, each day between the two sessions, I’ll also have a paper buffet open to everyone, not just people attending the sessions!
Check out the Facebook event page or contact me for more details or to register!
Have you seen the Creative Life Scrapbooking Border Maker Mondays ideas? If not, you should definitely go check them out on the Facebook page! Each week one of the contributors shares ideas for scrappy borders, layouts, cards, or other projects that feature the Creative Memories Border Maker System and other Border Punches.
This week, my contribution to the collection is these two adorable underwater borders that both use similar elements but definitely have a different feel to them!
I’m so excited to share these cute Slice of Summer cards with you today!
I made these as a Friday Featured Project for Creative Life Scrapbooking, and I’ll be teaching these as a class with my local crew in northern Utah through the end of this summer. (The class actually includes 3 more cards in addition to the ones you see here, and designs may vary by kit. Contact me to sign up for a class.)
Thanks for joining us for some Summer Scrapbook Ideas You Can Use Now! My blog is the last stop this time, but if you missed anybody’s post you can scroll down to the bottom here and see a list of all the links. Go check them all out–there are some fantastic ideas!
Summer is a great time to make some memories, enjoy the outdoors, and take on new crafty projects! Hopefully you’ll find some inspiration in our blog hop to do all of those things this year. 🙂
Today I’m sharing a one-page summer layout that I made for my niece’s album. Continue reading
